The Good Samaritan Community Food Pantry fills a vital role in the community. Thanks to the members and friends of Good Sam and to many individuals, organizations and businesses in the area, we served a record number of clients in 2007, distributing food to 1,463 adults and children. The need for food assistance continues to grow.
Our pantry has been in operation for many years, serving as a source of emergency food supply. In addition to donated canned and packaged foods, our pantry receives the unsold baked goods on Monday mornings from an area Publix store through Tampa Bay Harvest Inc. Cash donations enable us to purchase some meat for our freezers.
The pantry is open Monday – Thursday from 9AM until noon. Volunteers from the community are most welcome.
